The only event of its kind in the country, the two full days will feature presentations, demonstrations and workshops from caravan industry experts covering safety topics such as weights, loading, and towing caravans, ABS and ESC, solar, maintenance, off-road towing and more.

Caravanning Queensland Trade CEO, Jason Plant, says the Showcase is an extension of the associations regular Safety Check days held throughout the state. “This event is designed and delivered by industry experts with a focus on safety and education alongside the latest in technology and tips aimed at enhancing your next holiday experience. Aimed at educating those who are new to caravanning, towing, and touring as well as a refresher for the seasoned grey nomads, this event aims to provide an opportunity to learn, discuss, compare and ultimately arm yourself with the knowledge to make wise choices in all areas relating to caravanning and recreational vehicles.

“Whether you’re new to RVing and planning your first road trip, a family who regularly hits the road with your RV or holiday enthusiasts planning ‘the big lap’, this showcase will provide safety tips for everyone ahead of the school holidays.” Mr Plant said.

The RV industry is experiencing unprecedented growth, with registrations of all types – caravans, campervans, camper trailers and motorhomes – up 82 percent in Queensland compared to the same period in 2020. Additionally, in the first six months of 2021 the state recorded above-average occupancy rates of powered sites.

In addition to the workshops and presentations, there will be trade displays of caravans, latest technology, and accessories as well as hands on camp oven cooking classes. Self-contained vehicle owners will be able to stay overnight at the event end enjoy live entertainment, campfires and food trucks to fully immerse themselves in the experience.
