As of 1 August, KT Insurance has officially partnered with QBE Insurance as our new underwriting partner. While this change has already taken effect, for most policyholders it remains a behind-the-scenes update and we’re here to continue doing what we do best: protecting and inspiring travelers like you to explore with confidence.
We know insurance isn’t always the most exciting part of planning your trip but having a policy you can count on gives you the freedom to go further, stay longer, and truly relax. That’s why this next chapter is so important.
Why QBE?
QBE is one of Australia’s largest and most trusted insurers, with over 130 years of experience in protecting Australians. Partnering with QBE gives KT Insurance the scale, support and stability to keep growing and evolving alongside the RV community – while maintaining our specialist focus and personalised service.
Our mission hasn’t changed: we’re here to help you travel more often and more confidently, knowing that you’ve got insurance that’s designed for the way you live, travel and explore.
What does this mean for you?
If you’re already insured with KT, or thinking about joining us, here’s what you need to know.
We’ve put together a simple FAQ to cover the most common questions we’ve been asked since the announcement.
FAQs
I already have a KT Insurance policy – does anything change for me on 1 August?
Not right away. If your policy was current before 1 August, nothing changes until your next renewal. When your policy is up for renewal, the renewal offer we send you will remind you of the change.
My policy is due for renewal after 1 August – what happens then?
If your policy is due to renew after 1 August, your renewal will be issued under our new underwriting arrangement with QBE. You'll receive the usual renewal documents, including an updated Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) that reflects the change. This will be sent to you around 30 days before your renewal date.
I’m getting a quote now – who is my policy underwritten by?
Any new KT Insurance policy that starts on or after 1 August 2025 will be underwritten by QBE. Your quote documents and PDS will reflect this.
Is there a new PDS I need to be aware of?
Yes – we’ve updated the Product Disclosure Statement to reflect the move to QBE. You can access the latest PDS on our website.
