Could you tell us a bit about your work history?
30+ years in General Insurance, having had the pleasure of working for several major players in the market, across a multitude of roles in Australia and NZ, including but not limited to: Sales & Distribution, Claims, Underwriting, Credit, Operations. Additionally, set-up and administered the Scheme on behalf of the Federal Government, for the collapse of HIH Insurance – HCSL (HIH Claims Services Limited).
What do you like most about your job?
Being surrounded by a team of people that are as passionate as myself, in delivering customer service excellence, finding solutions and providing a point of difference – how we can be better than our competitors.
What do you do for fun?
Hitting the road (when I can), going on a long drive as far from the city as possible, to a destination I’ve never been before and enjoying what this wonderful country of ours has to offer.
One thing many people might not know about you?
Aside from being a passionate Collingwood supporter, my love for good food, good wine and great company.

Kalen Ziflian
Your Role at KTA?
Head of Marketing and Distribution – EDA. I support all of the brands in the EDA stable including Ken Tame & Associates
How long have you been there?
I’ve been working on the Ken Tame brand for about 5 months under the EDA structure, but was also a founding partner and General Manager of Club 4X4.
Bit about your work history?
For my sins I’ve got about 20 or so years in the insurance industry. I’ve had the benefit of working with all sorts of mainstream brands, but also well-known niche brands in the market. I’ve always worked in the product development, distribution, marketing and strategy areas and am passionate about strong brands that live their values and make a difference in the market. The crowning achievement in my career was starting Club 4X4, not without its challenges but a very exciting ride.
What do you like most about your job?
Making a difference and supporting customers that I feel I am very much like. I’ve always worked with great, passionate teams and it's always nice to have a laugh at work – that’s never been a problem over the last few years.
What do you do for fun?
I’ve always had a passion for anything with wheels and a motor. I’ve migrated through the fast stuff (although I still indulge when I can) but with two young daughters and a childhood spent camping, hitching up the trailer to the Ranger and going bush is something that provides my little family very valuable recharge time and we do it as often as life permits. Although I am excited – pre-kids my wife and I did a 10-day trip around the South Island of New Zealand in a 6 berth Kea Motorhome. Something tells me I may get a chance to do a little more of that soon and I cannot wait!
One thing many people might not know about you?
I’m a pretty open book and a little boring really. But whilst my role is to be quite overt, as an introvert at heart I really value my time alone. A precious commodity but well enjoyed when it does happen!

How long have you been there?
Been with KTA for just over 4 years
Bit about your work history?
Used to run factories, have been a bus/coach driver in the UK and Australia. Got into insurance to free up my weekends. Started with CGU then moved onto Toyota Insurance where I became the team leader. Eventually discovered KTA as a claims team member, transitioned into underwriting and then onto my current role.
What do you like most about your job?
The interactions with all staff members and especially the unique clients we have.
What do you do for fun?
I used to teach martial arts. Like to go camping at the weekends, not so much anymore. I also like live music, anything from a pub band or a good opera.
One thing many people might not know about you?
I taught martial arts for around 3 years I am a third Dan black belt.

Robyn Adler
Your Role at KTA?
National Manager – Claims, I oversee the daily operations of our claims department
How long have you been there?
Started with the team in late 2016- so it will be five years this year
Bit about your work history?
My early career was in admin, first in schools and then a truck dealership. Started with car insurance sales and underwriting with an AAAMI brand (Just Car Insurance) and took the opportunity to transfer into claims, working with specialty farm equipment, heavy machinery plant and equipment as well as private motor. After working in our family tour business while my kids were little, I made the decision to specialise in claims and spent a few years in Heavy haulage and commercial fleet claims before spending some time setting up training for claims teams. Joining the team at Ken Tame gave me the opportunity to apply all my claim knowledge to helping people travel and stay on the road which has always been a passion for me.
What do you like most about your job?
Helping- I love being able to assist when things go wrong and problem solve. Insurance is a product no-one wants to have to use so each and every claim is an opportunity to help someone get through a tough moment and to show that it really is a product worth having.
What do you do for fun?
We get out and travel! With two teenage kids, we are keen to get out and visit new places, sharing with them some of the on-road adventures my husband and I were lucky enough to experience.
One thing many people might not know about you?
That I don’t like coffee, the smell or the taste, which is very un-Melbournian of me ?
