Regardless of vaccination status, people should maintain safe physical distancing and the highest standards of personal hygiene, such as washing hands frequently with soap and water, particularly after toilet visits and before preparing food or eating. People should also ensure they have a face mask with them at all times and to wear it when appropriate or as required.

In Queensland, extra rangers will be out and about providing additional campground services and advice where needed to ensure the health and wellbeing of campers, including an additional ranger presence at Inskip Peninsula, where campers reported viral symptoms within the vicinity.

Rangers and contract cleaners have been deep-cleaning the Inskip amenities in a two-step cleaning and disinfecting process, as per Queensland Health guidelines, to help minimise the risks of viral transmission this season.??

Rangers will be increasing the frequency of cleaning as a further precaution and amenities will have increased soap and sanitising supplies, but the best advice is to bring your own and be self-sufficient. No matter your health status or the conditions, when camping in close proximity to others you need to practise heightened personal hygiene.
